We feel the target audience for this book is elementary-aged children. The author is particularly addressing transracial adoptive families. Thus, unlike so many other reviews where we have to “connect the dots” of how a piece of media relate to a foster or adoptive family, this book is very direct in its intentions – identify the meaning of a family when its members look physically different.
