The Family Book – Review

Transfiguring Adoption’s Thoughts:

We feel The Family Book targets preschool or early elementary due to the bright, cartoonish characters in the illustrations and the short, simple sentences ideal for the short attention spans of younger children. The colors used for skin colors vary greatly and are not realistic, which makes it easy for children of any race to see themselves in the characters. This book is not specifically written to adoptive families, though adoption is mentioned.
