Welcome To Fostering: A Guide to Becoming and Being a Foster Carer is an excellent introductory to the fostering journey!  In actuality, this book is of value regardless of what stage of the journey you are in as it encompasses an array of subject areas in a way that is true to the realities of fostering while still being hopeful; even the daunting prospects of this endeavor are acknowledged in such a fashion that the reader comes away feeling empowered rather than deterred. It not only covers the frequently asked questions but also pulls you a bit deeper into the fostering world and elicits you to consider things about yourself, the foster care system, and all of the individuals involved that you may not have considered previously.
