To All The Boys I’ve Loved Before – Comprehensive Review

Transfiguring Adoption’s Overview:

The target audience appears to be children 12-18 years of age or Young Adult. However, since it deals with mature themes such as Sex and Peer Pressure I would recommend this book more to families with teens in high school. It  appears this book would be best for foster and adoptive families, especially families with teen girls, as well as families with international adoption. This book will best relate to foster/adoptive parents through the struggles Lara Jean faces throughout the novel, both at school, and at home. Although framed in a lighthearted way, this book tackles important concepts in raising teens in a safe and caring environment.

I really enjoyed this book as an upbeat coming-of-age novel. The main character, Lara Jean is relatable and fun, and many teens (especially girls) will see much of themselves in her day to day life.

This book, and the next two books in this trilogy have been on my radar for awhile. The books have recently been made into Netflix original movies, to much excitement from the YA community. These are books your teen girl is likely to hear about and…
