Get Your Run On - Get A Medal - Get Help For Kids

By selecting this item from our store, you will be registered for our VIRTUAL 5K Run. Registrants will receiving a REAL medal sent to their provided shipping address. All the proceeds will go to help fund projects through nonprofit, Transfiguring Adoption, which helps foster and adoptive children. 

How Does The Race Work

• Pre-Registration Opens: September 18 - October 31, 2020
• Registration Officially Opens: November 1 - December 31, 2020
• Run the 5K on or before the end of New Year's Day 2021
  (It’s a VIRTUAL 5K. The race may actually be run anytime and anywhere between November 1 and January 1)
• Receive the REAL and sought after Owl-iday 5K Challenge medal in the mail
• Take a selfie and share your picture with the medal to our social media pages

What is a Virtual Race:

• A great way to challenge yourself, friends and family to get fit and have fun with other like-minded online folks all while raising money for great causes.
• Run/Walk the race in one session or multiple sessions. This is great for families that have young children or children with special needs.
• Run/Walk the race ANYWHERE that is available and convenient for you to run.
• Run/Walk the race ANYTIME before the completion date (11/26/15).
• Receive a REAL medal. Legit BLING for you to show off to family and friends.

How Does This 5K Help Foster Families?!

Every registration helps to fund Transfiguring Adoption’s projects which show parents how to utilize play and popular family entertainment (books, movies, video games) to help children work through past trauma and trauma-caused behaviors.
Through our media review service, Transfiguring Adoption reviewers rate and write discussion packets for current movies, video games and books to alert parents of harmful trauma triggers which will emotionally harm their child by making them mentally relive past trauma. Our reviewers also direct parents to healthy discussion topics and create discussion guides which show parents questions and activities, which walk families through difficult issues in a safe and judgement free process.

Users for this service have appreciated knowing about possible trauma triggers because it helps them to protect both their child’s well-being and allows families to make educated decisions about purchasing their family experiences together.
