From the Cover of We Belong Together: A Book About Adoption and Families by Todd Parr:

We belong together because…you needed a home and I had one to share. Now we are a family. In a sensitive, kid-friendly way, Todd Parr has captured what it means for a family to belong together.

What Our Family Thought:

This book is geared towards small children and did not hold the attention of our older children, while our elementary school age child quite enjoyed it. It is bright and colorful with only a small amount of text on each page. Our youngest liked the fact the drawings looked like something he, himself or another small child would draw. This book talks about the reasons a child would need a family in easy-to-understand words and focuses on the positives that the adoptive family is providing and not the negative reasons the child has to be there.
