Our Thoughts:

Our family loves The Runaway Bunny. It used to be almost daily reading to remind everyone that we loved them and would stick by them no matter what, that we would always come after them. In the story, there is a little bunny who wants to run away. His mother says she will run after him, and he says he will become something else to get away from her. For every situation he gives, she comes up with an answer of how she will get to him. With fun illustrations and an engaging story, this book is a great picture of a mother’s unending love and is appropriate for all children. As a board book, it is geared towards toddlers through elementary aged children, but we feel it can used by any individual to touch the hearts of someone they love who wants to run away from life.

Discussion Questions:

  1. When have you felt like running away?
  2. Would running away fix the problems?
  3. What problems might running away cause?
  4. How would your family feel if you ran away?
